Rory K. Cochrane (born February 28, 1972 in Syracuse , New York State ) is an American actor , songwriter and singer .

life and career

Rory Cochrane was born on February 28, 1972 in Syracuse , the third child of an Indian mother, actress Nicki Cochrane and an Irish father . He spent his childhood in the English Grantchester . After his return to the United States he visited in New York City , the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts .

While still in school, Cochrane made his first television appearance in 1989 in a docudrama about substance abuse on Saturday Night with Connie Chung . He then had a guest role in an episode of the US series HELP and in 1991 his first film role in the film The Kiss Before Death , which only lasted about 15 seconds.

Cochrane can be found mainly in independent films and only became known in the German-speaking area through his role of the sarcastic and grumpy track expert Timothy "Speed" Speedle in the US television series CSI: Miami . He died there in series and was thus written out of the series at his own request in 2004 in order to be able to devote himself to his film career again.
