Rosemarie Ambé

Rosemarie Ambé (born February 7, 1941 in Perleberg ; † June 16, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German pop singer and GDR television presenter .

Life

Ambé was born in Perleberg in the Prignitz region. After working as a secretary, she began her career as a singer in the GDR in 1962 . In the same year she was engaged in a revue at the Friedrichstadtpalast before the composer Gerd Natschinski discovered her. In 1968 she had an audience success with the song It all begins, and with it she won the GDR hit competition in the same year. In 1970 she took part in the Sopot International Song Festival in Poland with the title Brass music is balm for the ears for the GDR .

From 1974, she presented together with Fred Schmidt , the television show Oberhofer farmer's market , a popular television series in the East German television , which is conceptually at the ARD telecast to the Blue Boar oriented.

After the end of the GDR, Ambé had to accept a turning point in her career. In 2009 her hit was it all just beginning to be heard in the movie Boxhagener Platz .

Rosemarie Ambé died in June 2014 at the age of 73 in her Friedrichshain apartment.
