Michael Hansen (* 11. December 1940 in Güstrow as Klaus Schibilsky ) is a German pop singer , composer and producer .

Life

Michael Hansen played piano, guitar and bass as a child. He later sang classical music in the Rostock University Choir . He studied at the technical faculty of the University of Rostock and graduated in 1967 with a degree in marine engineering . As a student he sang successfully for radio in 1966 and in the same year produced his first title Spiel nicht mit dem Glück . He founded his own entertainment and jazz band, Studiosi-Quintett . His first title, published by Amiga , soon followed . I won't say no . His recordings landed at the top of the charts.

After completing his studies, Hansen worked as an engineer in the Neptun shipyard in Rostock and continued to make music in his free time. In 1966 he took the stage name Michael Hansen . In the hit competition of the GDR in 1968 he achieved good placements with Rain in the Night and Who Has Seen Them . During this time he began working as a composer. In the following years Hansen was part of the television entertainment ensemble in Berlin-Adlershof.

In order to give the performances a new impetus, he founded the group Michael Hansen & the Nancies with three women from the television ballet . The four offered a wide repertoire of popular music and - including folklore from Latin America and Russia - they ended up having great success at home and abroad. During their tours, they often sang titles in the local language.

In 1973 Hansen purchased a piece of land in Wandlitz , which he built with a thatched-roof house with the help of friends and relatives. Nancy Susanne from the music group became his second wife in August 1976. She died in August 2008 on a family outing on the Darß . In addition to a son from his wife's previous relationship, they have two children.

In the 1980s, Hansen Chairman was section vocal performers in the Committee for entertainment arts of the GDR. After the political change in the GDR, Hansen began successfully to run a private recording studio in Wandlitz; His customers soon included stars such as Lili Ivanova , Dagmar Frederic , Roberto Blanco and Gisela May .

In his place of residence, Hansen soon became involved in environmental protection. He is considered one of the founders of the Barnim Tourism Association . He was also active as a manager, he worked in the International Bund am Bogensee, which succeeded the former FDJ training center. After this institution went bankrupt, Hansen and his wife performed on cruise ships with hits, jazz, rock and folklore.

At the suggestion of the founding director of the Elbland Festival , Heiko Reissig , the Festival Presidium appointed Michael Hansen as President of the Elbland Festival Wittenberge Society , the annual operetta and film music festival in the state of Brandenburg , which he was until 2019.

In 2004 Michael Hansen founded the KinderMusicalTheater in Berlin eV together with other committed theater professionals , which he still supports today as musical director, composer and lecturer.

He has been married for the third time since 2017.
