Klaus-Dieter Henkler (born January 19, 1944 in Seebenau ) is a German singer, actor , voice actor , composer and songwriter. Together with Monika Hauff, Henkler forms the Berlin singing and moderation duo Hauff and Henkler .

Life

Henkler got an accordion from his parents when he was four years old ; later given a guitar and a piano . He studied composition and singing at the Conservatory in Halle .

In 1968 he founded the singing duo Hauff and Henkler with Monika Hauff . At the beginning of the same year - before the official duo was founded - he and Monika Hauff recorded a thousand questions from Jürgen Heider and Harro Korth on the Berliner Rundfunk . The repertoire consists of hits , mood songs , folklore and country music . This resulted in around 300 titles in 22 languages, including the most-played GDR hit that was a masterpiece . Both have sold over ten million records to date.

Between 1968 and 1976 he took part in various hit competitions at home and abroad and mostly took top places there. In 1975 Klaus-Dieter Henkler and Monika Hauff won the Grand Prix de Paris chanson competition with the title When I saw you again today by Reinhard Lakomy and Fred Gertz . In 1990, participation in the German Heritage Festival took him to New Jersey . As an actor, he appeared in the 1971 film Du and I and Klein Paris alongside Evelyn Opoczynski , Renate Geißler and Jaecki Schwarz .

Henkler took part in many DFF shows , for example as the presenter of Ein Kessel Buntes or as co-presenter of the television show Between Breakfast and Roast Goose . His own shows included the Notenkarusell from 1968 to 1972 and Ziehn two musicians from 1977 to 1979. As an actor, he premiered in the comedy Du and Me and Little Paris in 1971 . From 1978 there were shows in the German television programs Zum Blauen Bock , Musikladen , Kein beautiful Land and ZDF hit parade .

He dedicated his title Katarina to the figure skater Katarina Witt , who premiered in Between Breakfast and Roast Goose .

In 1994 he and Monika Hauff received the Hermann Löns Medal .

Together with Hauff, he celebrated his 45th stage anniversary as a duo in 2013 and 2014. There were live performances and TV broadcasts for the anniversary.
