Rosentitz is a village in the municipality of Bannewitz in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district , Saxony .
location
Rosentitz, part of the Bannewitz district, is located north of the main town above the Nöthnitzbach in a separate area . The Rosentitzer Straße runs through the village and connects it with Eutschütz and Nöthnitz .
history
The village was first mentioned in 1288 as "Rosenticz". The place name is of Old Sorbian origin and means "People of Grozneta", so it refers to a locator . The forms "Rostitz", "Roßchnicz" and "Rößnitz" are guaranteed for the 16th and 17th centuries. In the small round with its 96 hectare (status: 1842) large block corridor there was a Vorwerk , whose income flowed to the Maternihospital in nearby Dresden until 1329 . From 1540 at the latest, the Vorwerk was awarded together with the neighboring manor Nöthnitz , so the landlords are each identical. Rosentitz had its own manor since the 17th century , previously it belonged to the Lockwitz manor . Ecclesiastically, Rosentitz first belonged to the parish of the Dresden Frauenkirche , then it was parish to Leubnitz . Rosentitz has belonged to the rural community of Nöthnitz since the 19th century , before it was incorporated into Bannewitz in 1923. Up to the present there are only a good dozen residential buildings in Rosentitz.
