Rosie Brennan (born December 2, 1988 ) is an American cross-country skier .

Career

Brennan has been participating in the US Super Tour since 2005. She has won 17 victories so far and took second place overall in the 2013/14 season . In 2012/13 and 2014/15 she won the overall tour ranking. She ran her first World Cup race in January 2009 in Vancouver , which she finished in 34th place in the sprint. In 2013 she became national champion in the 10 km freestyle. In February 2014 she took third place at the American Birkebeiner . She got her first World Cup points in Rybinsk in January 2015 with places 20 in the skiathlon and 13 over 10 km freestyle. At the US Championships in Houghton in 2015 , she won three golds and one bronze. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2015 in Falun , she came in 30th place in the skiathlon, 16th in the 30 km mass start race and fourth in the relay. After finishing 34th in the World Cup Mini Tour in Ruka at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with third place in the relay in Lillehammer . In the further course of the season she achieved 32nd place in the Tour de Ski 2016 and 24th place in the Ski Tour Canada and came 54th place in the overall World Cup. In the following season she finished 41st in the World Cup mini tour in Lillehammer and 28th in the Tour de Ski 2016/17 . At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , she came in 32nd place over 10 km classic and 28th place in the skiathlon. At the end of the season she achieved 42nd place at the World Cup finals in Québec and finally reached 65th place in the overall World Cup. In the 2017/18 season she took 28th place in the Ruka Triple and 24th place in the Tour de Ski 2017/18 . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished in 58th place in the skiathlon .

In the 2018/19 season Brennan finished 15th in the Lillehammer Triple and 39th in the World Cup finals in Québec , reaching 38th place in the overall World Cup and 27th place in the Distance World Cup. In Davos she achieved her first top ten place in the World Cup individual with sixth place over 10 km freestyle. Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol were tenth place in the skiathlon and fifth place with the relay. After tenth place in the Ruka Triple and second place in the relay in Lillehammer at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she achieved 15th place in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 and 12th place in the ski tour. She reached 17th place in the overall World Cup and 14th place in the Distance World Cup.
