The Rottach is a small river in the Miesbach district in Upper Bavaria with a length of approx. 10 km. The Rottach rises on the Rotzigmoosberg ( Mangfall Mountains ) in the municipality of Rottach-Egern , Miesbach district. In the upper reaches it flows through the small Suttensee and an alpine pasture area, from where it descends steeply and over several small waterfalls between the mountain ranges of the Wallberg and the Bodenschneids in the Tegernsee valley. From Enterrottach it runs in the alluvial plain of the lake with only a small gap, and later in setted flume and joins the Egerner bay at Rottach-Egern in the Tegernsee .
