The Rotterdam Half Marathon ( Halve Marathon Rotterdam ) was a half marathon that took place in Rotterdam from 2004 to 2009 in September . On the fast track, a world record was achieved once (2005 by Samuel Kamau Wanjiru ) and once a world record for the year (2004 by Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot ). The program also included a 10 km run.

The course was a flat turning point route with start and finish on the Coolsingel in front of the town hall , which initially led south to the bank of the Nieuwe Maas and along its right bank to the east to Rijksweg 16 . It was slightly shortened once by the 10 km runners and twice by the half marathon runners.
