Roy Marsden
Roy Marsden (* 25. June 1941 in Stepney , London , England as Roy Anthony Mold ) is a British theater and film actor . He became known nationally for his role as Adam Dalgliesh .
Life
Marsden attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and spent four semesters there. After an incident, the director put in contact with a theater in Nottingham. In the early 1960s, Marsden worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and began performing on a variety of stages. At the same time, he began to participate in television series. He had a bigger role in 1969 as Sir Andrew Ffoulkes in nine episodes of the mini-television series The Elusive Pimpernel . His first film role followed in 1970, Toomorrow .
From 1978 to 1980 he played the role of Neil Burnside in a total of 20 episodes of the television series The Sandbaggers . In 1982 he appeared in nine episodes as Jack Ruskin on Airline . From the 1980s, he became nationally known for his role as Adam Dalgliesh in the mini-television series Death of an Expert Witness , Shroud for a Nightingale , Cover Her Face , The Black Tower , A Taste for Death , Devices and Desires , Original Sin and A Certain Justice and the television films Unnatural Causes and A Mind to Murder in the mid-1990s. In 1984 he starred in Six episodes in Goodbye Mr. Chips as Charles Edward 'Mr. Chips' chipping . This was followed by other casts, mostly in individual episodes of various television series and television films.
