Roy Petermann

Roy Petermann (born October 10, 1957 in Hamburg ) is a German chef .

Petermann grew up in Hamburg. His decision to become a chef came about through contact with his uncle Horst Petermann, who lives in Switzerland . He followed him to Switzerland, where he worked for five years. Further professional positions were the Landhaus Scherrer in Hamburg under the direction of Heinz Otto Wehmann and the Landhaus Dill , also on the Elbchaussee in Hamburg, as well as the restaurant Weingut Nack in Gau-Bischofsheim .

In 1990 he started his own business in Lübeck , where he and his wife Manuela run the Wullenwever restaurant in the Beckergrube as Maître de Cuisine , which has been awarded a Michelin star, 17 Gault Millau points, three gourmet points and three Varta diamonds . It is located in a patrician house from 1585.

Petermann prefers to use products from the region. In 1991 Petermann was one of the founding members of the German section of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe .
