Rozbitek (formerly Roszbitek , 1943–1945 Reichenhof) is a village in Poland, in the municipality of Kwilcz , in the Greater Poland Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The place is located in the historical region of Poznan , about 13 kilometers east of Międzychód ( pear tree ) and 61 kilometers west of the city of Poznan .

history

The village belonged to the end of the First World War to the county Birnbaum , government district of Posen , the Prussian province of Posen . In 1871 the village and manor Rozbitek had a total of 23 residential buildings, which were divided into four residential areas and in which 43 families lived. In 1895 the village alone had 131 inhabitants. On April 30, 1910, the rural community Rozbitek was spun off from the Birnbaum district and incorporated into the Gutsbezirke Kreuzwehr and Lewitz of the district Meseritz . The Birnbaum district with the Rozbitek manor had to be ceded to the Second Polish Republic after the end of the war and the Poznan uprising in 1919 due to the provisions of the Versailles treaty .

Attractions

  • Rozbitek Castle with park, built in the years 1856–58 for Georg von Reiche, the owner of the manor at the time. In 2003 the castle came into the possession of the Polish composer and Oscar winner Jan AP Kaczmarek . The building has been used occasionally for musical events in the recent past.
