Rudolf ("Rudi") Anton Engelhard (born March 10, 1950 in Creußen near Bayreuth ) is a Bavarian politician of the CSU . From 1996 to the end of April 2008 he was district administrator in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen adIlm .

Life

Rudi Engelhard was born the son of a police officer in Upper Franconia and grew up in Wolnzach . From 1970 to 1974 he was district chairman of the Junge Union. After training as a forester in the Bavarian Technical School for Forest Management in Lohr am Main , he was in 1972 at the Forestry Directorate employs Munich. In 1974, Minister of State Hans Eisenmann brought him to the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. After studying at the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences , Engelhard taught as a lecturer at the Bavarian Administration School .

Public offices

He was a member of the Upper Bavaria District Assembly from 1982 to 1986. From 1984 to 1996 he was also a city councilor in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . From 1986 to 1996 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , from 1990 onwards with the Pfaffenhofen direct mandate. In 1996 he was confirmed as the successor to Traugott Scherg District Administrator in the Pfaffenhofen adIlm district and in 2002 in his office. In the local elections in 2008 he ran again and was defeated in the runoff election to the candidate of the free voters Josef Schäch .
