Rudolf Blue

Rudolf Blau (born June 15, 1927 in Leutewitz ) is a former German officer in the National People's Army (NVA). From 1954 to 1963 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

The son of a worker attended elementary school in Planitz and from 1942 learned the trade of a farm mechanic . On April 20, 1944, he was accepted as a member of the NSDAP in the Kagen branch . He was drafted into the Reich Labor Service (RAD) and then for military service in the Wehrmacht .

After the war he worked again as a locksmith, joined the Free German Youth (FDJ) in 1946 , the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB) in 1947 and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in 1949 and became an honorary FDJ secretary. From 1949 to 1952 he worked as a locksmith and workshop manager in the machine-tractor station (MTS) in Barnitz . In 1951 he attended the SED district party school in Meißen and became a member of the Meißen district committee of the Land and Forestry Union.

In May 1952, the "FDJ contingent to armed protection of the republic" came as a sergeant to the barracked people's police (KVP). In 1956 he was accepted as a lieutenant in the National People's Army. As a political officer, he performed his service in Torgelow-Spechtberg, Ueckermünde district . In 1958 he was promoted to first lieutenant.

From 1954 to 1963, as a member of the SED parliamentary group, he was a member of the People's Chamber. In August 1963 Blau, meanwhile a captain of the NVA , was no longer confirmed as a candidate for the People's Chamber by the Politburo of the Central Committee of the SED .
