Rudolf Haas (politician)

Rudolf Haas (* 1955 in Krieglach ) is a former Austro- German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 2007 to 2009 he was state board spokesman for the Saxon state association of the Greens . In 2008 he took German citizenship and remained an Austrian citizen at the same time.

In 2004 Haas was elected to the Radebeul City Council , to which he was then a member for five years. He was also a district councilor in the district of Meißen . In February 2007, members of the state delegate conference of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Sachsen elected Rudolf Haas with 48 of 83 votes alongside Eva Jähnigen as the new state board spokesman. On September 27, 2008, the delegates confirmed him in office with a majority of 68 percent.

On January 29, 2009, Haas resigned as spokesman for the board of the Saxon Greens. At the same time he gave up his city council and district council mandates.
