The steward was badly injured in the attack and was taken to the hospital. Kasek denied his involvement and stated that he rejects all violence. Regarding the nationwide demonstrations against TTIP on September 17, 2016 in seven German cities, Jürgen Kasek said: “We expressly support the nationwide sponsors of the demonstrations, which have repeatedly demarcated themselves against right-wing efforts. Parts of the local network in Leipzig did not support this clear demarcation, especially from the actors of the winter of peace and the so-called vigils for peace and thus create a connection for cross-front efforts. ”The state party council of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Sachsen then recommended to its members, not to take part in the demonstration in Leipzig, but instead to go to Berlin .
