Rudolf Haselbach

Rudolf Haselbach (called Rudi ) (born December 23, 1944 in Fünfzighuben , Sudetenland ; † December 6, 2005 in Fulda ) was a German politician in the Hessian state parliament as a member of the CDU .

Life

After completing secondary school in 1961, Haselbach completed an apprenticeship in the public service from 1961 to 1962 , from which he was promoted to the higher service with further training from 1973 to 1974 . From 1965 he worked as an assistant at the Federal Railroad . He then obtained an administrative diploma from the Mainz Administration and Business Academy between 1974 and 1977 . In 1976 he was promoted to inspector at the Federal Railroad, and from 1991 to 1992 he completed a scientific training for the higher administrative service at the Federal Academy for Public Administration at the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Bonn , whereupon he began working in the Federal Railroad Council in 1992.

Haselbach had been a member of the CDU since 1972. In local politics he was active as a city councilor in Mörfelden-Walldorf from 1972. There he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. From 1977 he was a member of the district council in Groß-Gerau, where he was also group chairman. 1981–1985 he was a member of the regional planning assembly Starkenburg and from 1989 deputy parliamentary group chairman in the regional assembly South Hesse.

1975–1995 he was CDU chairman in Mörfelden and Mörfelden-Walldorf, from 1977 he was a member of the Groß-Gerau district board as deputy chairman and from 1981 on the CDU South Hesse district board. From 2000 he was CDU district chairman in Groß-Gerau. In the period from December 3, 1992, when he replaced his party friend Reinhold Stanitzek , until 1995 and from 1999 to 2005, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. There he was chairman of the interior committee since 2003. In the state elections in Hesse in 2003 , he was elected in the Groß-Gerau II constituency, after having previously entered parliament via the CDU state list.

Rudolf Haselbach died on December 6, 2005 during a closed session of the CDU parliamentary group in a hotel room in Fulda, Hesse. His successor as a member of parliament was Günter Schork .
