Rudolf Hobohm

Rudolf Hobohm (born April 29, 1859 in Schermcke ; † August 13, 1933 in Saarbrücken ; full name: Friedrich Adolf Rudolf Hobohm ) was a German civil engineer , municipal building officer and acting mayor of Saarbrücken in 1920/1921 .

Life

Hobohm was born in Schermcke in 1859 as the son of the landowner Karl Hobohm. After graduating from high school in Magdeburg and studying at the Technical University of Hanover , he did his military service as a one-year volunteer in 1882/1883 . He was a member of the Corps Alemannia Hannover . He worked as an engineer in various positions in Hanover and married Else Maria Jacob in 1894.

On 13 July 1909 he was at the Association of Saar cities St. Johann , Saarbrücken and Malstatt-Burbach for the second technical salaried aldermen elected the city of Saarbruecken and on August 31, 1920, First Assistant Secretary.

On April 9, 1920, he was appointed "Provisional Mayor of the City of Saarbrücken". On May 7, 1920, his election was confirmed by the Saar government commission . He remained in office until the inauguration of his successor Hans Neikes on May 3, 1921. Hobohm retired in 1925, which he spent in Saarbrücken.
