  1. Hanns Klein states in his short biographies of the mayors of (old) Saarbrücken, St. Johanns, Malstatt-Burbachs and the city of Saarbrücken (Saarbrücken 1971) on p. 530: “died during a vacation stay on the Italian Riviera on September 12, 1968 in Porte di Marimi ”. A place of this name is not known. Perhaps this is Forte dei Marmi, which is south of the Italian Riviera.
