Rudolf Kujath
Rudolf "Rudi" Kujath (born June 22, 1942 in Nieder-Weisel ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Life
After attending secondary school in Butzbach / Hessen , he completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter from 1957 to 1962 . Thereafter, Kujath obtained his secondary school leaving certificate in evening classes in 1965 . In 1967 he passed the Abitur at the Hessenkolleg in Rüsselsheim. He studied political science at the Free University of Berlin until 1972 and graduated with a diploma in political science. During a one-year study visit to Vanderbilt University in Nashville , he obtained an MA (USA) Master of Arts in Political Science .
From 1973 he was a research assistant at various Senate administrations in Berlin, from 1991 to 1998 he was a senior employee at the Friedrichshain housing association (WBF). In 1998 Kujath became managing director of WOGEHE housing company Hellersdorf and, from 2000, also managing director of housing company STADT UND LAND Berlin . Since 2007 he has been the managing director of SOPHIA Berlin GmbH, a company that installs alarm systems for the elderly.

Rudolf Kujath was active in the trade union movement from 1957 . At the age of 18 he was DGB local chairman in Butzbach. Since 1963 he has been a member of the SPD, state and federal party congress delegate and chairman of the SPD Charlottenburg from 1989 to 1999. He is currently chairman of the SPD Biesdorf- Nord in Marzahn-Hellersdorf .
Rudolf Kujath was a member of the Berlin-Charlottenburg District Assembly from 1975 to 1979 and again from 1989 to 1990, then from 1991 to 1998 a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . Here he held the position of deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.
Rudolf Kujath deals with urban development and construction as well as demographic problems, in particular the increasing aging of society.
In the 2009 Bundestag election he was a direct candidate for the SPD for the Berlin-Marzahn - Hellersdorf constituency .
