Rudolf Lehner

Rudolf Lehner (born July 14, 1928 in Passau ; † May 17, 2008 in Passau) was a German teacher. As a leading functionary in the Association of Philologists and in the Civil Service Association, he sat in the Bavarian Senate from 1992 to 1998.

Life

After graduating from high school in Passau, Lehner studied German , history and geography at the Philosophical-Theological University of Passau and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich . In Munich he also studied theater and newspaper studies . His PhD in German studies dealt with Ludwig Thoma . After the 1st state examination, he became a trainee lawyer at the Old High School in Regensburg and passed the 2nd state examination there. Until 1975 he worked as a teacher, seminar leader and deputy director at the Adalbert-Stifter-Gymnasium Passau , from 1975 to 1992 he was senior director of the Vilshofen Gymnasium .

In 1966 Lehner became delegate and district chairman of Lower Bavaria in the Bavarian Philologists' Association , after which he was deputy chairman in Bavaria, headed the departments for civil service law and salaries as well as for retirement issues. For 20 years he was editor of the association magazine Das Gymnasium in Bayern . He also became vice-chairman of the Bavarian Association of Civil Servants and was a member of the federal board of the German Association of Civil Servants. The high point of his association political activity was his appointment to the Bavarian Senate from 1992 to 1998.
