Rudolf Lucas

Rudolf Lucas (born December 15, 1916 in Siegburg ; † August 27, 1980 ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1935, Lucas began studying law and political science, which he had to interrupt after the outbreak of World War II . He was used as a fighter pilot, suffered a serious wound and therefore retired from the air force . He then continued his studies, which he passed the first state examination in law and with the doctorate to become Dr. jur. finished.

Lucas joined the Hessian civil service in 1946, where he ended up holding the rank of government director. In 1977 he was managing director of documenta Kassel GmbH .

Political party

Rudolf Lucas was a co-founder of the CDU in the Eschwege district . 1956 to 1963 he was deputy district chairman of the CDU Kassel and from 1950 district manager of the CDU North Hesse.

In 1946 he was a co-founder of the JU. 1948–1953 he was district chairman of the JU Kassel and 1953–1955 state chairman of the JU Hessen. In addition, he was district chairman of the KPV Kassel.

Lucas was from 1946 to 1950 a member of the district council of the Eschwege district and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there. 1947–1954 he was a councilor in Kassel for housing. From 1956 until his death he was a council member of the city ​​of Kassel and also chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there. He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1962 to 1974. From 1972 to 1974 he was Vice President of the State Parliament. In 1964 Rudolf Lucas was a member of the 4th and 1974 of the 6th Federal Assembly .
