Rudolf W. Hoppe

Rudolf W. Hoppe (born May 17, 1943 in Wuppertal - Barmen ) is a German architect .

Life

Loh-Center residential and commercial building block

After graduating from high school, Hoppe began studying architecture at the Technical University of Munich in 1964 . He finished his studies in 1970 with the academic degree of Dipl.-Ing. He gained his professional practice at home and abroad. In 1976 he started his own business and founded an architecture office in Munich. Since 1981 he has headed the architectural office Hoppe Architekten , which is based in the Kolkmannhaus in Wuppertal. In addition to Hoppe, the office also includes the architects Herbert Hatzer, Andreas Herzog and Antonio Quintillani. The tasks of the office in residential construction include single and multi-family houses, buildings for industry and commerce as well as office and administrative buildings.

In Wuppertal

  • 1986/87: Loh-Center residential and commercial block, Loher Strasse 30–34 / Hohenstein 2, on behalf of the city of Wuppertal and Peter Voss together with Horst-Egon Schabel
  • 1990/91: Apartment building at Am Kasinogarten 3 (to close a vacant lot)
  • 1991: Interior work during the extensive renovation of the listed Villa Seyd
  • 1995/96: Apartment building Steinweg / Rödiger Straße
  • 1995/97: Conversion of the former Stadtbad Kleine Flurstraße to the Wuppertaler Brauhaus (investors were Rudolf W. Hoppe and Hans Löbbert.)
  • 1996/97: Housing complex Schönebecker Straße 72-78
  • 1998: Conversion of the former factory premises on Bembergstrasse on behalf of the ADAC
  • 1998: Planning for a residential development on the site of the Heckinghauser gas boiler on Mohrenstrasse was not carried out
  • 1998/99: ADAC service center and office space for the Wuppertal public prosecutor's office on Bundesallee (the building was awarded an “outstanding building” by the BDA-Wuppertal.)
  • 1998/00: Brilliant box in Mozartpark, Mozartstraße 28
  • 2000: Planning for the construction of a residential building on the corner plot of Briller Strasse / Luisenstrasse
  • 2007: Exhibition pavilion for the Waldfrieden sculpture park
  • 2001/02: Residential house at Viktorstraße 32 on behalf of the Bergische Diakonie Aprath
  • 2015/16: Student residence on Bendahler Straße

Outside of Wuppertal

  • around 2016/17: Prora (island of Rügen ), participation in a project to set up holiday apartments, condominiums and a hotel in the complex built by the National Socialists
