Rudolf von Kehler

Rudolf Carl Hermann Arthur von Kehler (born January 18, 1827 in Erfurt ; † May 19, 1919 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) was a lawyer, royal Prussian civil servant and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

He came from a noble Silesian family and was the fourth son of the Prussian major general Karl von Kehler (1769-1847) and his second wife Wilhelmine, née Countess von Schwerin (1787-1843).

Kehler was in the civil service from 1847. In between he served as an officer in the 17th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army in 1850/51 . From 1856 to 1859 Kehler was a district judge in Regenwalde and from 1859 to 1861 legal assistant in the Ministry of the Interior . From 1861 to 1868 he was district administrator of the Chodziesen district and in 1862 a member of the Prussian state parliament for Naugard-Regenwalde ( Grabow fraction ). In 1867 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency Bromberg 1 ( Czarnikau , Chodziesen ). In the Reichstag he belonged to the faction of the Old Liberal Center .

On August 23, 1868 he was appointed to the government council in the Marienwerder administrative district . There he was royal Prussian administrative court director until 1893 . For his achievements, Kehler had received the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class.

He died in 1919 as a royal Prussian administrative court director a. D. and major a. D. the Landwehr .

family

Kehler married on November 6, 1856 in Berlin Luise Freiin von Cramer (born July 3, 1829 in Friedberg ; † December 26, 1909 in Berlin-Charlottenburg), the daughter of the Grand Ducal Hessian Lieutenant Colonel Gottlob Freiherr von Cramer and Karoline von Bassewitz . The couple had several children:
