The Ruperti-Gymnasium Mühldorf am Inn is the high school of the city of Mühldorf am Inn ( Upper Bavaria ) and one of three high schools in the district of Mühldorf am Inn . Due to Mühldorf's long membership in the Archdiocese of Salzburg, it was named after its founder and patron saint Rupert von Salzburg .
history
The Ruperti-Gymnasium was founded in 1921 as a municipal secondary school with a Latin department . Over the next six years, the school was expanded to include several buildings, including a boarding school . In 1942, the expansion into an eight-year high school was completed. In the 1950s the school could only be prevented from closing with the help of parents, communities and industry. In 1958 the Mühldorf high school was nationalized.
In 1961 the school moved from its former location on Kirchplatz to its current address. There she moved into today's main building of the grammar school and named it after the founder of the Archdiocese of Salzburg, Rupert von Salzburg. In 1962 a modern language branch was added and in 1967 a performance train (Abitur in 8 years) was introduced. In 1968 an upper level business school was introduced.
In 1970, the school had meanwhile become a grammar school, an extension was built and a branch school was opened in Waldkraiburg . The branch school Waldkraiburg becomes independent after a long transition period for the 1998/1999 school year. The Ruperti-Gymnasium has had an educational seminar since 1976.
In the mid-1980s, the Ruperti-Gymnasium was expanded to include another extension. When space became scarce again a few years later, the decision was made to open a branch in 1994, which is a short walk from the main building. This is no longer used.
present
Today about 865 students attend the Ruperti-Gymnasium and are taught there by about 70 full-time teachers and a large number of part-time teachers and trainee teachers. The grammar school offers a linguistic and a scientific-technological branch.
In the recent past, the grammar school was expanded to include a cafeteria, which became necessary due to the introduction of the eight-year grammar school (shortened course - G8 ).
In 2005 the Ruperti-Gymnasium was founded by the sponsor pool Jugend forscht e. V. named the best school in Bavaria .
