The Rupprechtseck is 2591 m above sea level. A. high mountain of the Schladminger Tauern in Styria .
Location and landscape
The Rupprechtseck is located south of the main Alpine ridge of the Niedere Tauern , between Etrachgraben in the west and Schödergraben in the east.
Its ridge starts at the Sauofen , and from the saddle of the Toreben ( Gospel gap , 2174 m ) sweeps southwards. To the north of the Rupprechtseck rises, along the Eetrachian Spreitzerkar, the Dachleiteck ( 2463 m ). To the south, along the Nebelkar on the Schödergrab side, follows the Arlfeld ( 2489 m ). Together with the Brennerfeldeck ( 2507 m ), Feldeck ( 2480 m ) and Trübeck ( 2367 m ) peaks , the Rupprechtseck forms a closed massif. This then drops suddenly towards Krakaudorf and Schöder . At the saddle of Scharnigl in the Murparalleltal (approx. 1200 m ) follows behind it the massif of the Stolzalpe of the Murberge , which extends to the Mur.
The Rupprechtseck itself is not very concise in this ridge.
Rise
The normal route leads from the Grafenhütte (Grafenalm) in the Etrachgraben over the Spreitzerkar. A traverse is marked along the ridge, which begins at the Favorner waterfall , with further ascents from the Etrachgraben.
