Rusova Veche (German: Alt-Roschowa , Hungarian: Óruszolc ) is a village in the Caraș-Severin district , in the Banat region , in southwest Romania . Rusova Veche belongs to the Berlişte municipality .
Geographical location
Rusova Veche is located in the southeast of the Caraș-Severin district, on the border with Serbia .

Rusolch was first mentioned in a document in 1421.

After the Peace of Karlowitz (1699), Arad and the Maroscher Land came under Austrian rule , while the Banat south of the Marosch remained under Turkish rule until the Peace of Passarowitz (1718) . On the Josephine land survey , Rusova is registered with 20 houses. On the Mercy map from 1723 there are two villages with the name Russova, Alt-Russova and Neu-Russova, which was founded by colonists who moved there from Little Wallachia .
In 1855 Russova was owned by the Austro-Hungarian State Railroad Company (StEG) . As a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Arad region, like the whole of Banat and Transylvania, was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the Austro-Hungarian dual monarchy .
The Treaty of Trianon on June 4, 1920 resulted in border regulation, whereby Rusova Veche fell to the Kingdom of Romania .
While looking for drinking water, the engineer Simion Deteşan found a spring with medicinal water in Rusova Veche in 2012. The water, which is good for kidney disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, is very popular far beyond the borders.
