São Salvador is a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese town of Odemira . It had an area of ​​61.7 km² and 1814 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). This corresponds to a population density of 29.4 inh / km².

As part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal , it was dissolved on September 29, 2013 and merged with Santa Maria to form the new municipality of São Salvador e Santa Maria . It represents the municipality of the historic center.
