The nature reserve south-east Kyffhäuser lies in the area of the city of Bad Frankenhausen / Kyffhäuser in the Kyffhäuserkreis in Thuringia . It extends north of the core town of Bad Frankenhausen and west of Udersleben , a district of the town of Bad Frankenhausen. At the western edge of the area which runs B85 and south of the country road L 1172. South flows the Kleine Wipper , a left tributary of the Unstrut .
