The result is a collection of valuable Prussian passenger coaches , which, however, still have to be refurbished, as they stood in the open for many years before they were bought by the SEH and fell into disrepair. However, a lot of time and money is required for processing.

The historic saloon car of the last Crown Prince of Prussia is also shown in the carriage hall .

Opening times and annual events

The museum is open to visitors on weekends and bank holidays between March and October. Larger events are the Steam Days in May and the Steam Locomotive Festival in September, which is combined with a 1-gauge model railway meeting. In doing so, drivable systems and modules will be shown or demonstrated and items for the 1-gauge model railroad will be offered for sale.

Participation in films

After a tour of the SEH, the set designer Patrizia von Brandenstein chose the P 8 and the Prussian CCü express train car as props for the film A Russian Summer . The interior of the four-axle car was redesigned according to their plans. Some scenes from the film take place in the car. The P 8 was looked after and driven by club members during filming. However, she only appears marginally in the film, although she is leading the train with which Countess Sofia Tolstoy is on the way to her dying husband.
