The class T 3 steam locomotives of the Royal Württemberg State Railways were freight train tender locomotives without running axles with three coupling axles . All 110 copies came to the Deutsche Reichsbahn and were included in the numbering plan as class 89 3–4 . By 1945 almost all locomotives in this series were decommissioned or sold to industrial companies.

A total of three locomotives were rescued from the junkyard. The 930 (89 363) was refurbished operationally by the Society for the Preservation of Rail Vehicles (GES) and has been operational again since the beginning of 2014. In December 2019 this locomotive was sold by GES to the Schwäbische Alb-Bahn (SAB).

The T 3 L of the Königlich Württembergische Staats-Eisenbahnen were freight train tender locomotives without running axles with three coupling axles. Four copies were built, one of which came to the Deutsche Reichsbahn and was included in the numbering plan as 89 411 within the 89 3-4 series .

The four custom-made models had a steerable axle and were slightly longer than the other Württemberg T 3s . The machines used on the routes from Schiltach to Schramberg and from Waldenburg to Künzelsau , however, had very high maintenance costs, so that three of them were already from the Royal Württemberg State -Railways were decommissioned and only the locomotive 996 "KUENZELSAU" built in 1896 by the Esslingen machine factory with the serial number 2791 came to the Reichsbahn, which it classified as 89 411.
