Sabine silk

Sabine Silk , actually Sabine Müller , (* 1983 in Großröhrsdorf ) is a German jazz singer and composer .

Life

Silk grew up near Dresden and, after graduating from high school, initially oriented itself towards the theater. In 2004 she began studying jazz singing with Jule Unterspann at the Nuremberg University of Music . She attended master classes by Torun Eriksen , Leny Andrade , Mia Simanainen , Ack van Rooyen , Koch - Schütz - Studer and gives singing lessons herself with a focus on interpretation and bodywork.

As a background singer she worked for stars like Andreas Bourani , Peter Maffay , Maite Kelly , Roger Whittaker , Howard Carpendale under the direction of the Fürth big band leader Thilo Wolf as part of the Sternstunden gala of Bavarian television.

She acted and sang in a leading role in the musical production The Blues Brothers Show by Mantau Entertainment, directed by Marsha Cox . In the ensemble of the children's theater Kopfüber in Ansbach , she played the leading role in The Cheeky Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, which nobody thought was angry and can be seen in Max and Moritz .

The debut of their Feinton trio Silk Passion, Pain & Poetry was released in 2011 by the music label Ajazz from Wismar. The second and German-language album Der wilde Mohn - also with her own compositions and poems - was released in 2014 on the Berlin label Contemplate; Her co-composer Tino Derado is also represented as a pianist on this .
