Sacy (1801 still with the spelling Sercy ) is a commune Déléguée in the municipality of Vermenton with 173 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté

The parish of Sacy was incorporated into Vermenton on January 1, 2016. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée.

geography

Sacy is located 25 kilometers southeast of Auxerre and about 120 kilometers northwest of Dijon on a wooded plateau between the Cure and Serein rivers . Near the district of Le Val du Puits in the south of the former municipality, the highest point in the area is reached at 284 m. Sacy's neighboring communities were Lichères-près-Aigremont in the north, Nitry in the east, Joux-la-Ville in the south, Lucy-sur-Cure in the southwest and Vermenton in the west. The Autoroute A6 (Paris-Lyon) touches the northern tip of the municipality of Sacy.
