Saint-Bonnet-Avalouze is a village and a former French commune of 216 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Corrèze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belonged to the arrondissement of Tulle and the canton of Sainte-Fortunade . The inhabitants call themselves Avalouziens (nes).
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Laguenne and Saint-Bonnet-Avalouze were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Laguenne-sur-Avalouze and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Laguenne.

The place is located in the Massif Central , about ten kilometers east of Tulle , the prefecture of the department , on the banks of the Saint-Bonnette river .
Neighboring towns of Saint-Bonnet-Avalouze are Chanac-les-Mines in the north, Saint-Martial-de-Gimel in the northeast, Espagnac in the southeast, Ladignac-sur-Rondelles in the south and Laguenne in the southwest.
