The Sal is a river in France that runs in the Morbihan department in the Brittany region . It rises in the municipality of Grand-Champ , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and passes under the motorway-like route N165 east of the city of Auray . From here, the river is already exposed to the tides and forms an estuary about six kilometers long , which is called the Rivière de Bono . After a total of 24 kilometers, it finally flows into the confluence of the Auray river as a left tributary at the municipal boundary of Bono and Pluneret .
