Salka Weber (* 1989 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress, singer and filmmaker.

Life

Salka Weber was seen on television and on stage as a child. Among other things, she took part in the Kiddy Contest 2001 and moderated various ORF television formats for children.

After completing school, she completed her dance, singing and acting studies at the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna . During her training, she played in Hairspray at the Deutsches Theater in Munich , followed by the European premiere of Catch Me If You Can at the Wiener Kammerspiele and in Mamma Mia! At the United Stages in Vienna .

From 2015 to 2017 she was a member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt . There she was in the role of Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Lace , as Missy in Winter Wonderettes and as Addie in The Little Foxes . In the production Hazardous Liaisons she played the role of Madame de Tourvel in the Wiener Galerie im Erste, the production was nominated for a Nestroy Theater Prize in the category Best Off-Production in 2015 .

In 2016 she founded the Bronski & Grünberg Theater in Vienna together with Alexander Pschill , Kaja Dymnicki and Julia Edtmeier . They were nominated for the special award as part of the 2017 Nestroy Theater Prize. Directed by Ruth Brauer-Kvam , she was seen there in 2018 as the Countess in Viennese Blood .

Weber has also appeared in TV and feature film productions. In February 2019 her film " Fish learns to fly " premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival . Together with Deniz Cooper , she wrote the script, produced the feature film and also took on the lead role. As part of the Diagonale , the feature film celebrated its Austrian premiere in March 2019.
