Sallern-Gallingkofen is the city ​​district 04 of Regensburg . Sallern and Gallingkofen are east of the rain north of Reinhausen .

history

The first settlements can be traced back to the year 1007, which is why the districts of Reinhausen , Weichs and Sallern celebrated 1000 years of settlements on the rain in 2007 . From the 11th to the 15th century the lords of the Saler were landlords in Sallern. In 1435 they were replaced by the saddle archers. The Alberger followed in 1469 and the Leublfinger in 1554. In 1810 Sallern belonged to the Regenstauf district court and from 1862 (or 1853) to the Stadtamhof district office . The place was incorporated into the city of Regensburg on April 1, 1924.

Attractions

Sallern is overlooked by the Sallerner Berg. The oldest building is the Church of the Assumption of Mary , which, in addition to baroque elements, has Romanesque arched windows and a Gothic choir with rib vaults . The district also houses several manors, some of which are listed and dating from the 16th to 17th centuries.
