Salvadore Lobo

Salvadore Lobo (born April 30, 1945 in Mangalore , Karnataka ) is an Indian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Baruipur .

Life

Salvadore Lobo received on 19 March 1973, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 16, 1997, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Baruipur. The Archbishop of Calcutta , Henry Sebastian D'Souza , donated him episcopal ordination on January 29, 1998 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Raiganj , Alphonsus D'Souza SJ , and the Bishop Emeritus of Baruipur, Linus Nirmal Gomes SJ.

On May 4, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Salvadore Lobo's resignation due to reasons of age.
