The Saltworkers Brotherhood in Thale zu Halle is a brotherhood that refers to the Corporis Christi brotherhood founded in 1491 and the Saltworkers Brotherhood in Thale zu Halle founded in 1524 .

history

The salt workers ( Halloren ) in the valley of Halle ( Bornknechte , Wirker , Läder , Salzträger etc.) founded the brotherhood Corporis Christi in 1491 and in 1524 the salt workers brotherhood in the valley of Halle. The members of the brotherhood today wear a festive dress that is based on the fashion of the middle of the 18th century. They call themselves Thalbrüder and Thalschwestern.

In December 2014, the Saltworkers Brotherhood in the Thale zu Halle was added to the German register of intangible cultural heritage in accordance with the UNESCO Convention on the Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage .
