Ploner collection

The Ploner Collection is an art collection brought together by Heinz Ploner (1952–2011) since 1997 . The private collection includes works of contemporary art .

Austrian and international abstract painting is represented from 1960 onwards, with the focus on works by the artists Erwin Bohatsch, Herbert Brandl, Gunter Damisch, Hubert Scheibl, Walter Vopava and Otto Zitko.

Donation to museums

Following Heinz Ploner's request that his collection should be accessible to the public, his widow Regina Ploner donated many works to three Austrian museums: the Austrian Belvedere Gallery, the New Gallery of the Graz Joanneum and the Albertina.
