action
The ancient strong man Samson (in the original: Hercules) learns during his visit to Nisia, a kingdom that the despotic Menisto has exploited the death of the king to enthrone himself as his former advisor. Officially, however, the daughter rules, who, carrying out Menisto's will, oppresses the people. Since the queen falls in love with Samson, Menisto now fears for his influence and tries to get this worry under control by means of various assassinations. They fail, and Samson allies with local fighters who launch an uprising against Menisto. Menisto can be defeated in the fighting, but the queen is also killed.
criticism
The film service considered the "product of cinematic powerhouse" to be "laboriously held up by a stilted dialogue"; The Italian colleagues from Segnalazioni Cinematografiche also see the film, with its "remarkable equipment, staged without elements that are able to present even a single point in an interesting way"
