Sergio Ciani

Sergio Ciani (mostly known as Alan Steel ; born September 7, 1935 in Rome ; † September 5, 2015 there ) was an Italian bodybuilder and actor .

Life

Ciani began his film career in 1958 as a double of Steve Reeves and took on the pseudonym Alan Steel for his soon-to-follow roles as actor . As one of the few local actors in the Italian Peplum films, he played series heroes such as Maciste and Ursus several times . After the demise of the sandal films , he continued his career in spaghetti westerns , horror films and other genre products for some time until 1979. Occasionally he produced and wrote his own films.

Since the mid-1970s, Ciani also played on stage, where he a. a. worked with Giorgio Strehler . Since the 1990s he worked as a speech trainer in Rome.

Another stage name Cianis was John Wyler . Ciani died in Ostia two days before his 80th birthday .
