Samuel Irenios Kattukallil

Samuel Irenios Kattukallil (born May 13, 1952 in Kadammanitta , Pathanamthitta District , Kerala , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Syro-malankara Catholic bishop of Pathanamthitta .

Life

Samuel Irenios Kattukallil received on 22 December 1978 by the Syro-Malankara Catholic Archbishop of Trivandrum archeparchy, Benedict Varghese Gregorios Thangalathil OIC , the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy Trivandrum of archeparchy incardinated .

On January 25, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Tamalluma and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in the Syro-Malankara Catholic Major Archeparchy of Trivandrum . The Syro-Malankara Catholic Grand Archbishop of Trivandrum, Isaac Cleemis Thottunkal , donated him episcopal ordination on March 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Tiruvalla , Thomas Koorilos Chakkalapadickal , and the Bishop of the Eparchy Pathanamthitta , Yoohanon Chrysostom Kalloor .

In April 2018, the Synod of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church elected him Coadjutor Bishop of the Eparchy Pathanamthitta . With the resignation of Yoohanon Chrysostom Kalloor on June 7, 2019, he succeeded him as Bishop of Pathanamthitta.
