San Motors Limited was a locomotive and motor vehicle manufacturer from India .

Company history

The Bangalore-based company was founded in 1969 to manufacture locomotives. In 1997 or 1998 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was San . Automobile production ended in 2002. In 2001 38 vehicles were built and in the following year 33.

Automobiles

On offer were the Storm Coupé and the Streak Cabriolet , renamed Strom Convertible in 2001 . The design came from Le Mans Design from France. A four-cylinder engine from Renault with 1,149 cc displacement and 60 hp power powered vehicles.

A station wagon called Dune was under development.
