Vehicle Factory Jabalpur , or VFJ for short , is a manufacturer of motor vehicles from India .
Company history
The company was founded in Jabalpur in 1969 . The production of commercial vehicles of Gun Carriage Factory Jabalpur , which began in 1959, was continued. The brand name is VFJ . Off-road vehicles were also on offer from 1965 to 1999 .

The first trucks were based on vehicles from MAN , later on vehicles from Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors .
In 1965, off-road vehicles called Jonga were added. They were initially based on the Nissan Patrol . Around 1990 a new model with the same name came out. It was available as a station wagon and pick-up with four-wheel drive and had an Ashok Leyland engine with a displacement of 4400 cc and a power output of 108 hp .
