In the back a silver plow in red , underneath a golden heraldic lily . These symbols are taken from the city arms of the city of Straubing. Here the plow is to be understood as a symbol of the flourishing agriculture in the area of the metropolis of the Gäuboden , the granary of Bavaria. As a symbol of Mary, the lily refers to the patroness of the diocese of Augsburg . The Strupinga royal estate complex came to the Augsburg Cathedral Chapter in 1029 ; under his manorial rule the existence of a market is documented for the year 1110. In this respect, the lily is also a symbol for the older market law.
