The Military Police Regiment 1 (FJgRgt 1) as part of the October 1, 2013 realignment of the Bundeswehr restructured. It is stationed in the Julius-Leber-Kaserne in Berlin-Wedding .

history

The new Feldjägerregiment 1 (FJgRgt 1) follows the tradition of the Feldjäger Battalion 350, which was dissolved on September 30, 2013. The Feldjäger Battalion 350 was part of the Bundeswehr headquarters in Berlin . The areas of responsibility of the Berlin site command were broad and ranged from district and state level to protocol services (diplomacy and politics). The tasks could e.g. B. military security services, military traffic services, the performance of security tasks or operations in unpeaceful gatherings of people.

Since 1997 there has been a sponsorship between the Feldjäger battalion and the Wedding district . In 2004 the existing sponsorship with today's Berlin-Mitte district was renewed.

The field hunter battalion 350 was divided into four companies with locations in Berlin ( Julius-Leber-Kaserne ) and in Storkow (Mark) .

The commander of the military police command of the Bundeswehr, Brigadier General Udo Schnittker , carried out the formal decommissioning of the military battalions and the commissioning of the military police regiments in Hanover on September 26, 2013 . On May 22, 2018, another company was added with the 13./FJgRgt 1, in which the core tasks of personal protection for particularly vulnerable persons of the BMVg and the honorary escort of the Bundeswehr are bundled.
