Udo Schnittker
Udo Schnittker (* 1959 in Dortmund ) is a Brigadier General of the Army of the Armed Forces and National Military Representative at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe of NATO in Mons ( Belgium ).
Military career
Training and first uses
Schnittker joined the German Armed Forces in October 1977 as a conscript with the military police training company 602 in Heide (Holstein) . From 1978 to 1979 he was the 3./Feldjägerbataillon 610 in Hamburg for military police sergeant trained. From 1979 to 1980 he completed the officer trainee course at the infantry school in Hammelburg . From 1980 to 1983 he completed a degree in pedagogy at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg , which he completed as a qualified pedagogue . From 1983 to 1985 he was then employed as the deputy platoon leader of a military police platoon in the 3rd / Field Hunter Battalion 610. From 1985 to 1987 he was employed as a lecture hall director in III. and the second inspection at the school for military police and staff service in Sonthofen . From 1987 to 1990, Schnittker was employed as platoon leader of the 1st platoon at 5./FJgBtl 720 in Munster (Örtze) . From 1990 to 1992 he was employed as a company commander of the 8./FJgBtl 730 in the Nassau-Dietz barracks Budel in the Netherlands , after which he took part in the 35th Army General Staff course at the Bundeswehr Command Academy from 1992 to 1994 .
Service as a staff officer
From 1994 to 1996, Schnittker was employed at the Army Command in Koblenz as staff officer G4 Op, and from 1996 to 2000 as a department head at the German military representative at NATO in Brussels , Lieutenant General Klaus Wiesmann. From 2000 to 2002 another troop command joined with the task of the battalion commander of the field hunter battalion 801 in Neubrandenburg . From 2002 to 2004 he served as a consultant in the command staff of the armed forces and then in the press and information staff of the Federal Ministry of Defense in Berlin . From 2007 to 2012 he was used as Head of Division 2 Internet / Public Relations: Public Relations in the press and information staff at the Federal Ministry of Defense .
Service as a general
From 2013 to 2019, Udo Schnittker was appointed Brigadier General, commander of the newly established Feldjäger command of the Bundeswehr in Hanover . He handed this over to Colonel Ulf Häussler on June 12, 2019 . Schnittker moved to the position of National Military Representative at NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Mons (Belgium).
