The Bundeswehr Military Police Command (KdoFJgBw) is a command subordinate to the Armed Forces Base Command , which leads the Bundeswehr military police force .

history

The command was set up on February 20, 2013 in the Scharnhorst barracks in Hanover-Bothfeld .

It focuses the professional responsibilities of the military police system that takes military police tasks at home and abroad and provides German contributions to multinational military police tasks in exercises and deployment abroad safely.

The command is led by the commander of the Bundeswehr military police and military police leader with the rank of brigadier general , who is the central technical advisor to the Bundeswehr in all matters relating to military police and the Bundeswehr's range of military police tasks.

Subordinate associations and units

As part of the reorganization of the armed forces, the military police force was also reorganized. The previous division into battalions was abandoned in favor of a regimental division. The reclassification took place on September 26, 2013 as part of a solemn roll call at the headquarters of the military police command of the Bundeswehr in Hanover.
