The KdoSKB is headed by the inspector of the armed forces base with the rank of lieutenant general . He reports to the General Inspector of the Bundeswehr . The deputy inspector also holds the rank of lieutenant general, the chief of staff that of major general . The inspector general of the Bundeswehr is authorized to give instructions to the inspector of the armed forces base.
