The army command ( Cmd H ) is the only higher command authority in the army of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense directly subordinate. The command is also the staff of the army inspector .

history

With the realignment of the Bundeswehr , the Army Command was set up as one of the first steps towards taking over the Army structure in 2011 on October 1, 2012. For this purpose, parts of the command staff of the Army , the Army Command and the Army Office were used . These were subsequently dissolved or reclassified. The Army Command took over some of the tasks of the above-mentioned departments; others stayed in the Ministry or went to the Office for Army Development . The "two-pillar structure" consisting of the Army Office (previously responsible for training and further development of the armed forces) and the Army Command (previously responsible for commanding the fighting units) was thus abandoned , analogous to the realignment in the other organizational areas . The Army Command is no longer a ministerial department in the Federal Ministry of Defense, as was the case recently with the Army Command. This is why the Army Inspector, who was previously subordinate to the Federal Minister of Defense as head of a ministerial department, but not to the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr , is now fully subordinate to the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr for the first time. In this respect, the army loses its independence as a branch of the armed forces .

tasks

In addition, the command supports the army inspector in the performance of his planning, command, control and control tasks. It ensures the operational readiness of the army in material and personnel terms and manages the subordinate units and departments :

Furthermore, the following German shares are multinational major units commanded subordinated troops on duty :
